These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in the Event hosted by aXcelerate. By attending, you agree to comply with all terms outlined.
Definitions
“Event” means the the conference aXcelerate Day detailed in Item 1.
“Attendee” means a person who participates in the Event. An Attendee can include, but is not limited to, invitees, guests, presenters, sponsors, and registered attendees. In these Terms and Conditions a reference to “you” or “your” is a reference to the Attendee.
"Fee" means the amount payable to aXcelerate by the Event Attendee.
1. Event Details
1.1 aXcelerate Day (the Event) will take place on Wednesday 30 October 2024 from 9am to 5pm AEST, at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. Registrations to participate close at 5pm AEST on Friday 16 October 2024.
2. Event Fee
2.1 aXcelerate may charge a Fee for attendance at the Event, the Fee is listed on the event webpage and is inclusive of GST.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
3.1 Cancellations on paid registrations made by 5pm AEST 4 business days prior to registration closing will receive a 100% refund. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after this time. If the Event is cancelled or rescheduled by aXcelerate, Attendees will be offered a full refund.
3.2 The Fee is not refundable under any circumstances if an Attendee has received a complimentary registration or has not paid specifically for the right to participate in the Event.
4. Substitution Policy
4.1 If you cannot attend, you may substitute another person in your place at no additional charge. Please notify aXcelerate in writing at marketing@axcelerate.com of any substitutions by 5pm AEST on registration closing day.
5. Privacy and Data Protection
5.1 Your personal data will be collected for the purposes of the Event registration, promotion and communication prior to and after the Event. For more information, please see aXcelerate’s Privacy Policy.
6. Code of Conduct
6.1 All Attendees are expected to behave respectfully and professionally. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the Event.
7. Limitation of Liability and Indemnity
7.1 The Attendee participates in the Event at their own risk.
7.2 The Attendee releases the aXcelerate its officers, employees, agents, or related bodies from any claims, demands, losses, damages, penalties, proceedings, compensation, costs, charges, expenses and liabilities, which arise from or are in any way connected with the Event.
7.3 The Attendee agrees to wholly indemnify the aXcelerate, its officers, employees, agents, or related bodies from any Claim, demands, losses, damages, penalties, proceedings, compensation, costs, charges, expenses and liabilities, which arise from or are in any way connected with the Event.
8. Food & Allergies
8.1 aXcelerate will not cater for any food allergy or dietary requirements unless informed in writing at least five business days prior to the Event. Any notice of a food allergy or dietary requirement must be stated during the registration process or by emailing marketing@axcelerate.com.
8.2 The Attendee acknowledges and agrees that aXcelerate may not be able to secure alternative catering arrangements even where notice of a food allergy or dietary requirement has been submitted.
8.3 The Attendee releases and forever discharges aXcelerate from any claim, demands, losses, damages, penalties, proceedings, compensation, costs, charges, expenses and liabilities, which arise from, or are in any way connected with, a food allergy or dietary requirement.
8.4 The Attendee indemnifies aXcelerate from any claim, demands, losses, damages, penalties, proceedings, compensation, costs, charges, expenses and liabilities, which arise from, or are in any way connected with, a food allergy or dietary requirement.
9. Health and Safety
9.1 Attendees must comply with all health and safety regulations in place at the Event venue. If you have any specific requirements or concerns, please contact us in advance.
10. Intellectual Property
10.1 All content and materials presented at the Event are the property of the Organisers and presenters. Recording or distributing any Event content without permission is prohibited.
10.2 aXcelerate encourages Attendees to use their social media accounts to post and share images of the Event. However, Attendees are requested not to post or share images, audio, or video recordings of content and other materials that are commercially sensitive or as described in section 10.1.
11. Photo, Audio and Video Release
11.1 By attending the Event, you consent to being photographed and filmed. These images, audio and videos may be used for promotional purposes by aXcelerate. To opt out, submit your your request in writing at marketing@axcelerate.com two business days prior the Event.
12. Force Majeure
12.1 aXcelerate is not responsible for any delay or cancellation of the Event due to unforeseen circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or governmental restrictions.

14. Governing Law
14.1 These Event Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Queensland.
